"JOURNEY THROUGH LIGHT"
A fantastic synergy to show the tangible and exciting possibilities of combining design, fashion, and ultimately pure craft, we are excited to introduce Lucie Koldova as our brand ambassador and collaborator.
Fitting that both Lucie's and Port of Stars' philosophies are firmly embedded in emotive storytelling expression, this journey started from mutual admiration and respect for each other's work. Port of Stars wanted to combine Lucie's clean, minimal, and sensual light design into a reimagined piece, reflecting light, transparency, and form.
From Lucie’s strong design background working with glass or wood and Port of Stars more dreamy, flowing forms, the challenge was to create a piece that reflected both expectations. Through conversations, archives, and drawings, a mutual idea to shift from a dress to a one-piece Jumpsuit emerged.
The Jumpsuit consists of a minimal design, strong shoulders with a twist of an open back, and soft slit wings from a translucent silk fabric.
There is strength and fragility in this approach, perfecting a soft silhouette.

Studio Days
First impression of Port of Stars showroom is its serenity as you step from outside into light filled rooms connecting one to another, leading to the studio where most of our production, meetings and creations happen. Fabrics are at the center of each design, how to combine them, work with them and find ways to bring about their potential, with beauty and integrity part of our core philosophy. We are based in the beautiful neighbourhood of Prague 7 right by Stromovka Park. Our Showroom and Studio are the heart of our work, from design meetings to client appointments. With a light filled space and always ready with an aromatic cup of tea to create a mindful presence and welcoming atmosphere.

Sustainability & Local Production
Making sustainable choices is the most important aspect of the studio, without compromising the designs' quality or integrity. Where possible working with organic cotton, natural linen, silk, and often using leftover materials from fabric providers. Through clever design and experience of Radka Kubková all leftover fabrics and small cuts are saved and reincorporated into future designs to maintain a zero-waste approach. With this philosophy, there is continuity in the pieces and small reminders of the previous collections making each garment truly original. All the pieces are produced in Czechia or Slovakia.
